Harrow Borough are delighted to announce the appointment of the former Hendon, AFC Wimbledon, St Albans City and Northwood boss Dave Anderson as the Club’s new manager.
More latterly he has served for one season as Assistant Manager of Zamaretto League side Slough Town, whom he leaves to join Boro’.
Dave re-joins the Club he has served previously as Reserve Team Manager and then as Assistant Manager under Tom McAllister, George Borg and Bob Dowie.
“We are delighted that Dave has agreed to re-join us” said Borough Chairman Peter Rogers. “He understands how the Club works from his previous spells with us and his vast knowledge of Ryman League football and of players at non league level in general will enable the progress made in recent seasons to be further developed”.
“We understand that initially we need to steady the ship after the unexpected departure of our previous management team, but we are confident that under Dave’s charge the Club will be able to push towards the upper echelons of the Division with the aim of once again becoming realistic play-off contenders”.
As a player Dave played most of his football in the Irish League for Glentoran and then Bangor, earning representative honours as a goalkeeper for Northern Ireland at Schoolboy, Youth and “B” level. His playing career was tragically cut short due to injury in 1984.

Said Dave “I am delighted to be back at Harrow Borough, the Club I can really call my home. When I was invited to apply for the vacant position I did not need to be asked twice”.
“Following last season’s achievements this is an exciting and unexpected challenge for me and I am determined to take the Club forward”.
Dave will begin work immediately with players due to report back for pre-season training on Tuesday 5th July and with the first pre-season friendly at home to Queens Park Rangers due to be played just 10 days later.
The appointment concludes a hectic 11 day period which saw 28 applicants being considered for the post and 7 interviewed.
